The most sought after Confederate Sword by collectors .... The Nashville Plow Works Cavalry Sword. This example has the best "NASHVILLE PLOW WORKS" casting I have ever seem. The blade is very nice with one casting flaw in the cutting edge causing a chip. The wood handle is still solid with some of the original wire still reporting for duty. Leather on these grips was very thin and few examples have the original leather still remaining. This example has strong eye appeal and condition with original officer sword knot original to the sword. Akins Armory Members check back often as I have over 50 items just for this site .... Nashville Plow Works Confederate Sword with it's original scabbrd.
Tired old Pepper box with a nice litle mold. The gun displays nice but the action is tired. The original wood grips are nice and the maker mark and patent dates are visible.
Original Confederate waist belt plate on the original to the plate leather belt. The belt and tin drum canteen are identified to "J. R. Holmes" .... I have done no research and just selling the artifacts not an identification. This is the best example of a true unmolested and unmarried belt and plate I have ever seen.
Confederate cartridgebox with Confederate solid cast " I " on front flap. The box is fresh to the market and just surfaced today here in Tennessee. Researching the identification and will share history later. The wood insert in the box is for .69 caliber rounds. Completely untouched and truly a first class artifact.
Sweet Home Alabama to Party Train .... This is one artifact that had my hands shaking, no music required. This is what makes my job ... the best job in the World.
